Sambu's half-sister, Sophie, who belonged to close friends of our family, had to be put to sleep this morning. I grew up playing with her as a kid. She was the reason I wanted a pomeranian in the first place, so this loss affected me a lot.

May she live on in the memories of those who loved her.

I know how that can feel. One dog of ours had to be put to sleep to this summer (2006) just days after our vaction....

Beutiful pic.
Losing a childhood friend is always hard. I lost a dog I had known all my life when I was 13. He hated my but I loved that weasily little rat-dog. T_T My mother did too. I'm also well aware that my current dog (Gadget) Won't always be with me either. T_T I feel for you. Truely I do.

Nice piece, and it shows your emotion. My parents never hung onto any of our dogs long enough for us to truely lose them. The dog they still have now though (Lady) I know they'll never part with. She's the most amazing dog in the world with the way she communicates, acts, and shows her love (plus, she has a purple tongue). I always enjoy seeing her when I visit home, but she is showing her age. I'll miss her greatly when she eventually passes on. Sorry for your loss. [link]
