Finished it. Mechanical pencil - lines Corel Painter 8 - colors Photoshop CS - touchups Edit: I am quite honored and flattered that this piece was chosen as a Daily Deviation. I definitely never expected that any of my work would be featured any time soon, as I believe I still have a loooong ways to go in improving the quality and technique of my work. Thank you all for all your wonderful compliments and support! As for the negative comments, I'll say right now: I certainly appreciate and welcome constructive criticism, as it helps me to improve. However if you're just going to complain about this piece being featured, take it up with an admin, it wasn't my decision. If you don't like my work, I'm sorry, but I'd prefer you just not look at it and walk away quietly instead of feeling the need to leave hurtful comments on my pieces which serve no purpose. Like I said, critique=good, insults=bad. And I'm really hoping that any negative reception of this piece has nothing to do with the fact that it's anthro-art. Because the quality of a piece should have nothong to do with its subject matter. I personally get quite sick of the way anthro art is sometimes recieved around here. Not all anthro, or "furry" artists are beastiality-loving perverts. Some of us just like drawing anthropomorphic animals. Bugs bunny was an anthro, Mickey Mouse was an anthro, nobody ever insults Chuck Jones or Walt Disney for drawing them. I don't see why I should be insulted for what I draw, because it's the exact same kind of thing. Okay...stepping off the soapbox now. Daily DeviationGiven 2005-01-28While being quite the simple and serene image there is something rather striking, even captivating about Let it Snow by *spiritwolf77 A soft lilac hue gently fogs a beautiful digital paint rendering and a skillfully drawn, solid lineart. and the pilots inclined to resign.
I'll rejoice till I die, that I learned how to fly,
in that old-fasioned Avro of mine!
I really like the soft colors; it gives it a kind of subdued, yet emotional look.
