While I can accept micro-evolution, the macro- type gives me more doubt. A certain degree of information-shuffling seems feasible, but additional information, new functional genes are counter-entropic (if that's a word).

For me, the most difficult part of evolutionary theory to accept is abiogenesis, the formation of life from unliving matter. The probability of the correct amino acids forming and then, before reacting with anything else, joining together to form a protein, and then a self-replicating cell, is staggeringly minute; unlikely to happen once in the life of the universe.

Yet here we are. To whatever degree evolution is or is not true, we are a miracle. So be nice to each other, okay?
